PP interlocking modular tiles require a level, flat concrete slab (minimum M20 grade, minimum 100mm thickness) or compacted asphalt base. The sub-base must slope at 1% to allow self-drainage through the tile grid. Soft, uneven, or grass sub-bases are not suitable. These cause premature tile displacement and voiding of material specifications.
A 5-layer non-cushion acrylic system includes concrete primer, acrylic resurfacer, two colour wear coats, and professional line marking, suited for school and recreational courts where budget efficiency matters more than player biomechanics. An 8-layer premium cushion system adds three milled SBR rubber cushion coats between the resurfacer and colour coats, providing tournament-grade shock absorption, joint stress reduction, and ITF pace classification compliance for club and competitive courts.
Yes. Existing concrete courts can be resurfaced using the UWIN acrylic coating system, provided the concrete base is structurally sound, clean, and level. Cosmetic cracks and minor surface irregularities are filled with acrylic crack filler before the primer coat is applied. However, structural cracks (cracks that pass through the concrete depth) require base repair and patching prior to coating. Applying acrylic coating over structural cracks causes delamination within 12–18 months and voids the application warranty.
EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a virgin synthetic rubber compound, not recycled material. Unlike SBR (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber) made from recycled vehicle tyres, EPDM is UV-stable, colour-retentive for 8–10 years in Indian outdoor conditions, and maintains its elastic properties through extreme temperature cycles. It is poured in place with a polyurethane MDI binder and cures into a seamless, jointless surface, eliminating the joint cracking and seam deterioration issues common with recycled rubber tiles.
